Charley Boorman Live Tour

Charley Boorman

Ride to Victoria Falls with Charley

A unique opportunity to be part of a 2010 Charley Boorman adventure in Africa

Charley has teamed up with Moto Aventures, a highly experienced motorcycle adventure company to bring you the chance to ride with Charley to Victoria Falls in Southern Africa.

The trip starts in August 2010 and will cover around 5,000 kilometers in 16 days through Africa's most amazing countryside. Across open plains, through dense bush-land, rain forest and barren desert - this is awesome!

Riders will also benefit from a two day off road course prior to the trip with the famous Dakar legend himself Simon Pavey. A great way to build your bike skills and meet other members of the trip - and Charley and Simon of course.

Further information about this great adventure can be found here - but remember, numbers are limited.

The Charley Boorman Live UK and Ireland tour is now over. It finished with a sell out night at the Vicar Street theatre in Dublin. Charley, Simon and Billy would like to say a massive thanks to all who attended any of the nights - we all had a fantastic time. We're currently discussing dates for a similar tour in Australia for November 2010 - and this site will show more details as the plans progress. Also, if the UK and Ireland tour never reached your area - never fear, we are also planning a 2011 tour to reach those very areas - both in the UK and Ireland.

Next on Charley's adventure list is your chance to have your own 'Long Way Down' riding in Southern Africa with Charley and his good friend Ross Noble - another mad biker! Charley and Ross will be at the Simon Pavey off road school from the 11th June through to the 14th June, meeting riders who have already signed up for the big African adventure. There are still places left on the downward leg of the tour.

Soccer Aid is Back!

In the lead up to Soccer Aid on 6 June and as World Cup fever builds, UNICEF is asking everybody to help put it right for some of the most vulnerable children in the world – by doing sponsored keepy uppys!

As a UNICEF UK Ambassador, I’ve already done my keepy uppys. So why not have a go too? It’s really simple: do as many sponsored keepy uppys or headers as you can and raise bucket loads of money to help make a real difference to the lives of children.

If keepy uppys aren’t your thing then take on a different kind of Keep it Up for Soccer Aid sponsored challenge. Why not run a mile a day, pogo to school every morning or cut out junk food until the Soccer Aid match on 6 June?
